Below is a glimpse into my sketchbook from art class. It doesn’t include all of my drawings, but it features a selection of them. My hope is that by the end of these five years, it will be filled with many more creations.
1st Grade
In our first year, we focused on nature studies and basic drawing techniques.
We worked with pencil and watercolor to explore form, light, and texture — drawing leaves, natural objects, and simple still lifes.
2nd Grade
In the second year, we delved into linocut printmaking and created a clay sculpture as part of our exploration of different techniques. We also conducted nature studies to further develop our observational drawing skills.
